Stories and Legends: Panel and Exhibition

  • The Llambias House 31 Saint Francis Street St. Augustine, FL, 32084 United States (map)

The Flagler College Honors Program Presents a Learning Community Event at Llambias House on Thursday, April 28, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. The LMCC’s Associate Director, Kimberlyn Elliott, will be speaking as one of the panelists at this event.

This learning community was led under the direction of Professor's Laura Mongiovi and Jeanette Vigliotti.

Students in the learning community explored how St. Augustine's history is preserved through the written word and visual images. Students listened to oral histories and selected related artifacts from the St. Augustine Historical Society to explore our town's nuanced histories. To reflect on these diverse histories, students responded to their chosen artifact and community member with a personal creative response. Artifacts and creative responses are on display at Llambias House for this one night only.

To extend the conversation about local history, a panel of local community members will discuss preservation efforts in St. Augustine. Speaker panel begins at 5:30 pm. This event is free and open to the public.
