Reconstruction: A Taste of Freedom

The third installment of our Civil War to Civil Rights: A Lincolnville Saga is titled Reconstruction: A Taste of Freedom. Executive Director Regina Gayle Phillips will examine the people and places of Lincolnville, a community in St. Augustine born out of Reconstruction. The presentation will look at the soldiers who returned from war to develop this community and the obstacles they faced and learn what legacies they left. This event is presented virtually through Zoom on Wednesday, February 24th, 2021 at 5:30 PM. This event is in collaboration with the Resilience: Black Heritage in Saint Augustine program.
